There are a few reasons. One is that, in the early days of deployment, an A.I. solution usually provides only small marginal value over the SaaS solution doing the same thing. The second is that the techniques are reliant on data sets that companies often don’t have. The third is that to provide intelligence across different functions make take different data sets, so, each “feature” of an A.I. company has the complexity of building a small product all on its own.
