It feels like a positive spiral

We, humans, are wired to belong.

Gated communities take this sense of belonging to a different level. Having been part of one, I could see the wishful look from outsiders as they drove past our community.

Shopify is betting on NFTs to unlock a new take on shopping

This is an interesting read.

The concept that resonated with me the most is “token gated commerce”.

Shopify desires to create exclusive experiences for NFT holders, agnostic of the platform.

Experiences include new or exclusive products, services, deals, or delivery options.

An open, welcoming gated community, as long as you own an NFT.

Strategically, players like Shopify have the potential to be NFT trading spots; and it looks like Shopify is moving in with intent
